Pubic Lift For Men

We invite you to schedule a personal consultation with Dr. Cohen by calling Belcara Health at 410-296-0414

The suprapubic fat pad, the pad directly above the penis, can become enlarged from aging and weight gain. Weight loss may result in redundant tissue, but most men find weight loss does not target that area sufficiently. The presence of a large fat pad and fatty tissue results in perceived diminished penile length.

Liposuction can be performed in this area, and redundant skin and fat can be surgically removed. This procedure can also be combined with an Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck).

How do I know if liposuction in this area is right for me?

Cosmetic surgery on any part of the body is an important decision and for men can be especially sensitive. Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Michael Cohen will discuss all aspects of pubic lift and liposuction with you. He may also suggest other procedures, such as an Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), that may help you get the overall appearance you truly desire.

Recovery & Aftercare:

After surgery, instructions will vary from patient to patient. For a sense of what you can expect after your surgery, see our post-operative instructions.

  • Patients may experience minor discomfort and mild swelling
  • Bed rest the day of surgery is recommended
  • Return to work within a few days, depending upon your activity level

What should I expect from the procedure?

Pubic lift and liposuction is performed under general anesthesia. Before the surgery, Dr. Cohen will mark the areas to be sculpted. During the procedure unwanted fat and skin will be removed to achieve the desired appearance. Because safety is always our first concern, we always work with board-certified anesthesiologists to ensure that your surgery is as safe as possible. Following your surgery, you will be able to rest in the comfort of your own home. Most patients are able to return to work within a week; most recover fully within six weeks.
